What areas do you cover?
We cover the Yorkshire and Lancashire regions, from Sheffield through to Bolton.  Our offices are based in Huddersfield in the middle so we can easily travel to any of these areas.

How long have you been trading?
Pennine Wills Direct has been trading successfully for the past seven years.

Can I ensure that my children inherit my savings/property/investments if I go into care ?
Yes – see the section on Will Trusts and Property Trusts.

Can a beneficiary also act as an executor?
Yes it is quite common for a beneficiary to act as an executor.  Executors do need to be over 18 years to act.

Can I change my mind once I have had the consultation?
Yes – you have a seven day right to cancel entitling you to a full refund.

How do I go about signing my will?
In order to legalise your will you need to sign it will in the presence of two witnesses. The witnesses must then sign in your presence and in the presence of each other. Pennine Wills Direct do offer a signing and witness service.

Do I have to list all my assets in the will?
If you have a specific gift to a specific person then it should be stated in your will.  Other assets can change from year to year and fall into the remainder of your estate (the residue) – they can be divided on a % basis to your beneficiaries.

How long will it take?
Approximately two to three weeks from the initial consultation; we can fast track wills through if urgent circumstances dictate.

Can I appoint somebody to look after my financial affairs while I am alive?
Yes – see the section on L.P.A’s.
